The health extension department is one of Nekemte Health science college's departments. The department has both Urban and rural health extension service trainees. This department also has upgrade health extension workers and regular trainees of level-III and level-IV. This academic team facilitates over all academic functions including cooperative training site selection and supervision in collaboration with the college vice dean.
Goal: This department strives to meet the regional and national need for training mid- level health workforce based on the direction from the College administration.
Objective: To render quality health care education for health extension work force of different academic levels.
